Spooky Ginger Love by Kendall Morgan

Gay bear Keith is happy to join his friends for a weekend getaway for bears at Camp You-Me. He is just looking for some one night stands during this getaway, but he ended up getting more than he bargained for when he ends up falling for a local man named Ronnie. But everything goes awry when Keith realizes no one else at the camp has seen or heard of Ronnie, and Ronnie’s house looks like it has been abandoned for years. It isn’t long before Keith thinks he is in love with a ghost.

This story wasn’t bad at all. It was well-written and cute. I loved his friends’ personalities, and their easy banter, as well as how well they had his back. Keith was pretty cool, too, although it was hard to see him act shy and awkward around Ronnie when he was confident around everyone else at camp. Even though I’m not a fan of insta-love stories, this one worked out, because the getaway was only for two days, it would have seemed stranger to stay there for a longer amount of time, and if they had been in the town near the camp, one of the locals would have told Keith about Ronnie sooner. My only real problem was its predictability. I didn’t guess the exact details of Ronnie’s story, but I was pretty close, probably because of so much foreshadowing in the book. It was entertaining and sweet overall. I wouldn’t recommend this story to young readers because of some explicit sex scenes, but I think most adult LGBT romance fans would enjoy this “spooky” love story.
